Gosh this should be pinned at the top. So concise & a good round up of what has happened so far!
It's already at the top
Not when I commented.
I hope Faputa destroys the village so everyone can die in peace (at least that's what I would want for myself in that situation). And as you mentioned, Reg will probably be the one who makes it happen.
I thought the same.
i think we are still missing the
I mean, not really. This episode fully explains what happened in the past and sets up the rest of the arc.
The ending visuals finally make sense now with this episode's reveal.
The quantity of wishes is probably why each of them ended up so warped and is almost certainly why adults are not supposed to use the stones adults have too many wishes built up. It would appear each stone is intended to be used for one wish and every additional wish draws power and causes them all to at least partially fail. 3 stones used on 5 wishes is how we got where we are.
You forgot the last, newest wish - to give birth to a child that wouldn't die.
Just let's hope this is only the "Village" part 😅
he he, I am the 69th upvote
This is good, thanks king
maaaaaaaaa!
poor Reg, his job is just to put people out of their misery lol
Reg: "Please lend me your wisdom"
Faputa: "No! I will lend you a hand!"
The disturbing level just rasing higher and higher. Wazukyan killing Irumyuui's child was really too much too watch.
Wazukyan killing the babies was really sad man
Yea... after this episode, I can't have even a shred of hope in him.
I cant blame him tho, his not evil, he said he did it to save the others and it was a gut feeling or a prophecy that he thought eating the babies could resuce them, and stop the effects of the disease. But man.. Fuuuuuuuuuuçk! I need therapy
the babies were already dead. He cooked them thats all, I known its fked up but you have to take tough decisions as a leader, right?
Are you blind and deaf??
He said he cook them when they died but later found out that cooking them alive is much more effective due to the nature of the wish, only a living bring can grant a wish he said.
So when he feed everybody he said he cook them alive and the more fresher (newborn) the baby are the more stronger the effect is.
Most likely he test it for himself first, remember his introduction he loves to eat rat and insects alive.
So him eating a hollowed baby from a former human who become a hallow is normal.
And another guess is his prophecy might be base on his wish to find the cure and find a safe zone where they can leave base on how he use a cradle of wishes to himself.
So now its clear they did not become hallow because of the lower levels of the golden city.. but they choose to become hollow due to guilt of eating the baby of their comrade and only their captain doesn't feel guilty at all LOL.
The blue-haired girl become a hollow because of the sudden rise when she was capture.
But everyone did except for veuko who doesn't wish to abandoned her humanity but get dragged by human-hallow eating wakuzan AKA baby chef so she remained human since irumyu wishes are the following.
Wants to have a baby, wants to be veuko and a forced wish by wakuzan using her as a tool to find a safe zone she turned into a mindless city.
But her two wishes stay the same.
Its to be with veuko which grant her longevity.
To have a baby that is perfectly healthy and alive which turned out to be faputa.
But as a result its clear now that faputa wish is to destroy the city and free her mother.
I guess the promise about reg is for him to help faputa's revenge or help him get inside the town
human-hallow eating wakuzan AKA baby chef
That's poetry right there.
The "babies" were not human, so technically they just ate some weird monsters. It was cruel, but I can somehow understand the motives.
the babies had no mouth or anything to feed, they were destined to die anyways, the leader had to look for solution to that. The rudeness in your reply explains your arrogance
He wouldn't be able to read the comment if he was blind, silly
Nope they weren't dead, he said that they had to be fresh (alive) when he killed and cooked them in order to reduce the effects of the disease (he did it a couple of times to notice the effect of freshness)
He actually first did cook the little ones after they died first . But then he tried to prepare them alive and fresh for that reason .
He literally never said they were dead, he said they were destined to die anyways, which is true
At first yes, but then he started killing them
Because when he used the dead bodies no body improved it's only when he started killing them everyone started to get better. They had 2 choices eat the babies or die.
He killed the babies which were alive. Rewatch the episode.
well, eventually he use the alive one as well tho...but I get you, it is a really tough decisions as a leader
cannibalism is always a hard choice.
Something felt off the first time I met Wazuyay with his YaY emotes, very convincing nice guy vibe, but after this he won't be so Yay Yay now he'll be Aye Aye soon. 😈
Why is everyone in here blaming Wazyukan? He did not do it because he was evil or had malicious intentions, he did it to save his life and the life of the explorers. Would you sacrifice a dead baby for the life of 50 living people?
Yes his actions were immoral, but its better that or they end up dying on the floor turning into wooden statues with diarrhea
Also letme make this real clear and obvious: I'M NOT AGREE WITH HIS METHODS BUT IN AN EXTREME SITUATION PEOPLE MAKE EXTREME CHOICES (that are morally wrong most of the time)
I agree
yeah you're probably right I just got the vibes that he's the bad guy since vueko said "he can still get scared"
I have a bigger issue with him thinking it was their destiny to reach a place from where you can't escape and to start mutating into something that's not even human but that's just me
they die anyway kill or not. but who can still be saved , should be saved.
At least now i can say that the disturbing part of this arc is
Soon
I'm really looking forward to the fight because good lordy I could barely follow what was happening in the manga, so I'm hoping it'll be easier in the actual animation.
Does the manga only really have up to 65? Are we really that far from the ending or even the next season?
It's monthly chapters and we're not too far , but tbh i can see them trying to wrap up the anime in a 3rd season, even if it means an original ending, depending on the sales of both the manga and the anime Blu-rays.
it took 5 years for season 2
we can wait another 5
Looking at how the manga arc after the Village is shaping up we're probably getting a 2nd movie
Reg: "Ayo Faputa can you give me a hand".
Faputa: "sure *ripping sound* here"
It was difficult enough to read in the manga, but with the sound effects...urgh, I actually cringed. ><
need to go out and touch some grass once in a while anime and manga will do that to you.
Faputa: "To make sure you don't forget again, let me add traumatizing experience!"
Wishes Wishes Wishes
I will never look at the word "wish" the same again.
Irumyuui had 5 wishes:-
-Her pain to go away: her slowly losing her humanity eventually lead to the fading of her pain.
-giving birth: her home village were going to sacrifice her becz she was impotent so she wished for children.
-ganja's survival: the ganga became a new family to her especially becz of Vueko.
-her pet to return: the pet that died becz of a creature's attack in recent episode looks very similar to Irumyuii's children.
-Vueko to stay with her forever: Vueko is like a mother to her so naturally she wanted to stay with her forever.
(Thx @Reincarnated Jiraya Sensei for the inspiration)
Also,
Vueko's wish is she doesn't want to forget about Irumyuii, and interesting the entire ED is Vueko's feelings for Irumyuui.
"I still remember you, the time we share, The love you gave."
And the last lines of the ED "I will be here for you always and forever, Even now I still prey, within this warm darkness (i.e. Irumyuii's head)
Vueko wants to live with Irumyuui and Irumyuui wants to live with Vueko.
That's the reason Vueko lives in Irumyuii's head.
Wazukyan's wish: As Vueko said this episode they were abandon by their homeland
Wazukyan wanted a home for his fellow Ganja people.
The village is Irumyuii's creation.
The balancing system is Irumyuii's children both unborned and those who died.
Faputa is Irumyuii's last child.
Faputa is embodied of Irumyuii's anger, frustration of her children dying along with her mother become a literal living place.
Faputa wished her mother to be free but for that she has to destroy the village.
But to enter the village she must pass from Irumyuii's membrane but she can't pass it becz of her nature but but but she is looking for a way to enter it and I guess this is the promise she made with Reg once upon a time and Reg will help her entee the village and eventually destroy the village. (this is just my hypothesis)
